Social Services & Welfare Committee
Zakat and Sadaqah, disbursed with care to Muslims facing hardship — locally and around the world, especially in times of crisis. Start with what you need.
Our Mission
The Social and Welfare Committee is responsible for providing programs and services to enhance the living conditions of Muslims in adverse circumstances. It manages the collection of Zakat and Sadaqah and ensures they are disbursed, according to Islamic guidelines, to those in need within our community and internationally — especially during times of crisis.
With the blessings of Allah (SWT), we are able to help the needy — including refugees — using Sadaqah funds, and those who qualify with Zakat funds donated by the community.

Within its charter to aid the local and international community, the committee organizes seasonal programs such as Iftar during Ramadan, a Toys Drive at Eid-ul-Fitr for the children of needy families and refugees, and Udhiyah/Qurbani coordination at Eid-ul-Adha — alongside year-round financial aid, food pantry, and refugee support services.

A word on relief
“Whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve him of a hardship on the Day of Resurrection.”

Volunteers
Without the help of Allah (SWT) and the generosity of the community, this committee could not function. Volunteers work directly and closely with community members — helping newcomers get settled, providing transportation, delivering food to those who need it, and supporting families in difficult circumstances.
A word on giving
Those who spend their wealth in charity day and night, secretly and openly—their reward is with their Lord, and there will be no fear for them, nor will they grieve.
