While being a member is not a requirement to attend the Islamic Association of Raleigh, we highly encourage you to become a member and participate in the biannual IAR elections.

Who can join

The requirements to become a member are easy

Be a Muslimwhose belief is according to Qur’an and Sunnah as stated in the Basic Law.
Be 16 years old or older
Live in the greater Triangle area
Pay membership duesFive years for $50, or lifetime for $250.

How membership works

From our constitution

The procedures for becoming and remaining a member of IAR.

Any Muslim interested in membership shall submit an application. The application shall be reviewed by the Membership and Election Committee. Approved applicant shall become a member upon payment of membership dues.
See Article VIII, Sec. 3
Membership should be issued for the calendar year of application plus four years or lifetime.
All donors with documented donations equivalent to their membership fees who meet membership criteria shall be granted membership upon completion of their membership application.
Effective date of membership is the date donation is received or submission of application, whichever is later.
Membership in any one IAR entity is a membership in all IAR entities.

الَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُم بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ
